Universal Forest Products Celebrates 50th Anniversary with $100,000 Donation to Habitat for Humanity
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., March 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Universal Forest Products (Nasdaq: UFPI), the nation's leading supplier of wood and wood- alternative products, announced today that it would present checks totaling $100,000 to Habitat for Humanity International. Universal announced the gift to commemorate the company's anniversary.
Universal will present $1,000 to Habitat for Humanity affiliates in each of the 86 communities in which the company has operations, and will make an additional donation to the Habitat for Humanity in Kent County, which serves the community of the company's headquarters. In addition, Universal's facilities will supplement the corporate donation with additional gifts of products and labor that will more than double the value of the donation.
