Universal was included with eight other companies (such as International Paper and Weyerhaeuser) in the Forest and Paper Products industry. In this group, Universal was ranked #1 in total return to investors for the 10 years from 1994 to 2004 and #2 in earnings per share for the same time period. Universal was the only company in the sector that added employees in 2004.
