Universal Forest Products Announces Appointment of CEO Mike Glenn to the Board of Directors
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 14, 2006--Universal Forest Products, Inc. (Nasdaq:UFPI) today announced that its President and CEO Michael B. Glenn recently was appointed to the company's Board of Directors.
Glenn was appointed to fill a vacant spot on the nine-member board. He'll stand for election to the Board at the next annual Shareholders Meeting on April 18, 2007.
In July 2006, Glenn became the fourth CEO in the company's 51-year history. He followed the term of William G. Currie, who became the Company's Executive Chairman.

Glenn joined Universal in 1974 as a salesman and held many positions over the years including vice president, senior vice president and divisional president. He was named president of Universal Forest Products in 2000.
