Universal Forest Products®, Inc. Promotes Michael R. Cole to CFO

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., July 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Universal Forest Products® (Nasdaq: UFPI) today announced its Board of Directors has promoted Michael R. Cole to the position of Chief Financial Officer effective immediately. Michael joined Universal Forest Products in November 1993 and has been serving as Vice President of Finance since January 2000, and replaces Elizabeth A. Nickels, who left the CFO post in January 2000.

"After an extensive search for a Chief Financial Officer, we found the most qualified person for the position was our own Vice President of Finance," said Peter F.
